Когда три года назад в Москве проходил первый в России Московский международный фестиваль творчества наивных художников и аутсайдеров перед Музеем наивного искусства, инициировавшим и осуществившим эту акцию, стояло множество вопросов. Ответы на них дал сам фестиваль, его итоги. Главное, что стало ясно – Фестнаив должен жить, набирать обороты и расширяться.
Режим триеннале, установленный Оргкомитетом для проведения Фестнаива, позволил основательно и без спешки подготовить и провести тщательный отбор предложенного материала для экспозиции.
Интерес к «Фестнаиву-2007» проявили все: художники, для которых фестиваль – одна из немногих возможностей творческого общения с коллегами по цеху, искусствоведы и сотрудники научно-исследовательских институтов. Большую заинтересованность высказали российские регионы. Именно их стараниями фестивальная экспозиция продолжит свою жизнь в г. Иванове (в залах художественного музея) и в г. Ульяновске (в Центре народного творчества), за что отдельное спасибо руководству и администрации этих областей и музейным работникам. Передвижной Фестнаив –  это наше общее достижение и несомненное свидетельство его жизнеспособности.
Костяк «Фестнаива-2007»  составляют работы отечественных художников. Экспозиция включает в себя около 400 работ 154 авторов, представляющих 30 регионов Российской Федерации. Изменился и расширился международный аспект фестиваля. На сей раз странами-заявителями выступили 8 государств, в т.ч. Италия, Сербия, Израиль…Небольшую соревновательную интригу привнесет учреждённый в нынешнем году главный приз – «Хрустальный цветок», который будет вручён победителю в день открытия на основании решения жюри.
В экспозицию Фестнаива включены работы художников-аутсайдеров, представленные Музеем творчества аутсайдеров (Москва) и коллекцией «Иные» (Ярославль).
Регламент Фестнаива предусматривает проведение научной конференции по проблемам наивного искусства и творчества аутсайдеров. Материалы конференции – выступления, доклады, сообщения – в дальнейшем будут выпущены отдельным изданием.
Как любая художественная акция, Фестнаив-2007 – это плод усилий большого числа людей и целых коллективов. В этом совместном проекте надёжным партнёром выступил Музей современного искусства, дирекции и сотрудникам которого – наша глубокая признательность и благодарность. Неоценима поддержка и помощь ответственных работников Департамента культуры города Москвы, без которых Фестнаив был бы просто невозможен. И, конечно, большое спасибо всем сотрудникам Музея наивного искусства, внёсшим в организацию Фестнаива все свои силы и умение продуктивно работать.
Прошли времена, когда отечественное изобразительное искусство пребывало в полной изоляции. Мы стали ездить по миру, музеи и галереи участвуют в международных проектах и фестивалях, приглашают зарубежных коллег в свои залы. Этот взаимообмен чрезвычайно важен, поскольку даёт понимание процессов, происходящих в мировом изобразительном искусстве. Такое понимание необходимо, чтобы осознать своё место, определиться в дальнейшем движении, войти в мировое художественное пространство.

When the International festival of naive and outsiders’ art was initiated and held by the Museum of naive art in Russia for the first time, there were many problems to be solved. The decisions were given by the Festival itself and its results. It became clear – and it is very important – that Festnaive should exist growing stronger and crossing the boundaries.
Due to the regulations determined by the Organizing Committee, the Festival is to be held in the form of triennalle, so the Museum had an opportunity to be in no hurry and to select thoroughly the works presented for the exposition.
Festnaive-2007 aroused the interest among artists (as they have got a rare chance to make creative contacts with their colleagues), among art critics and the workers of research institutes. The people of Russian regions were interested in the exhibition best of all. Thanks to their efforts the Festival exposition is being exhibited in the Art museum in Ivanovo and in the Center of folk art in Ulyanovsk. Especially we would like to thank the heads and the administration of the regions as well as the workers of the museums. The mobile Festnaive is our mutual success and the result of our joint efforts; it is an obvious illustration of the vital capacity of the Festival.
The works of native artists form the basis of Festnaive. The exposition includes about 400 works of 154 authors who represent 30 regions of the Russian Federation. The festival has changed and widened. 8 states, including Italy, Serbia and Israel are represented at Festnaive-2007.
The “Crystal flower” prix established this year, will be adjudged by the Jury and presented to the winner at the grand opening of the Festival, and it will impact some competitive intrigue.
The works of outsiders are exhibited by the Outsider art museum (Moscow) and by the Collection “INYE” (Yaroslavl).
The scientific conference devoted to the problems of naive and outsiders’ art will be held within the framework of the Festival. The proceedings of the conference, i.e. the speeches, reports and announcements, will be published as a special edition.
As any other art event, Festnaive-2007 is a result of joint efforts of many people and collectives. The Moscow museum of modern art was a reliable partner in this joint project. We are very grateful and thankful to the director board and the workers of the Museum. The support and the help of the responsible representatives of Department of Culture in Moscow can not be overestimated; it would be quite impossible to hold the Festival without their collaboration.
Of course, we should thank the workers of the Museum of naive art who put all the energy and skill into the organization of the Festival.
The times when the native fine art was absolutely isolated, has passed. Nowadays we travel all over the world, museums and galleries take part in international projects and festivals and invite foreign colleagues to their exhibition halls. This exchange is extremely important as it helps to understand the process taking place in the world of art. The understanding is required to fix one’s own place in this world, to determine the ways of development and to enter the art space.
